The Abertis Foundation’s headquarters, Castellet Castle (Barcelona), which is a UNESCO Centre on Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves, played host to the second edition of the prestigious Barcelona BioEconomy Forum (BBF) held between 27 and 29 November. The event was chaired by Salvador Alemany, President of Abertis and the Abertis Foundation; and the Catalan Regional Government’s Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and the Environment, Josep M. Pelegrí; and moderated by Dr. Eduardo Rojas-Briales, Assistant Director-General and Head for Forestry Department of the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The Abertis Foundation in partnership with Casteldefells Town Council (Barcelona) launched an initiative today to encourage responsible driving in the most popular nightspots under the “Et queda una vida” [A whole life ahead of you] campaign run by the foundation since 2009.

Various groups of boys and girls from the Madrid Down’s Syndrome Foundation have had the chance to take part in the activity “Actuar en la sombra” (Act in the Shadows) over recent days. The Abertis Foundation helped to organise the activity, which was held in Spain’s capital at the Reina Sofía Museum.
