The newspaper ABC publishes an article about the International Center for Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves. In addition to the information on UNESCOMED, an interview with Roser Maneja, Martí Boada and Miguel Clüsener-Godt, experts from the Unesco MaB program, is published on the 50th anniversary of the program.

The first detailed draft of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework has been recently released by the UN Convention on Biological Diversity. It establishes 21 targets to be achieved in 2030, in order to reduce threats to biodiversity and to respond to the needs of the population through sustainable and equitable management of the natural resources. It also provides the tools to effectively implement these measures.
One of the goals to reduce threats to biodiversity is to ensure the conservation of at least 30% of the world's land and marine areas, especially those of particular importance to biodiversity and its essential services to people. A new publication is available on the UNESCO Digital Library: "Our Biosphere, Our Future: local actions for the Sustainable Development Goals".
The 100-pages document collects experiences of good practices, initiatives and success stories for the implementation of the SDGs in Biosphere Reserves from all around the world.
