Castellet Castle secures ISO 14001 certification

Today LBG España (http://www.lbg.es/) has been presented in Madrid, a group of companies leaders in the field of community investment that are going to implement the London Benchmarking Group (LBG) model for measuring and communicating corporate community investment.

The Road Safety Education Programme in Schools, promoted by the abertis foundation, has received a prize from the Asociación Española para el Desarrollo del Mecenazgo Empresarial (AEDME, the Spanish Association for the Development of Business Patronage) for Business Sponsorship and Patronage in the Education category. abertis foundation Chairman Miquel Roca i Junyent accepted the award in a ceremony held yesterday in the Real Casa de Correos, headquarters of the Presidency of the Community of Madrid. This award-winning initiative will have trained more than 100,000 primary students across five autonomous communities in mobility over the course of the last three academic years.

The abertisfoundation is playing an active role in the campaign started by the Sant Joan de Déu hospital (HSJD) to prevent accidents to children inside and outside the home and on the road. The HSJD has set up a large marquee in front of its building – through which a thousand families pass every day – with educational content and advice for children and their parents, as well as being equipped to run interactive workshops. In this venue, which has been open to the public since November, a trainer from the abertisfoundation has been giving sessions aimed at children and their families and distributing a range of educational materials. This scheme forms part of the educational project Conduce a tu familia (Steer Your Family), part of the Road Safety Programme backed by the foundation.
