The Abertis Foundation was to the fore in the presentation ceremony for the “Cervantes Poets in Arabic” (POCENAR) project, organised by the Cervantes Institute of Marrakesh in the Chilean Embassy in Morocco. The initiative is supporting a programme to translate poets awarded the Cervantes Prize into Arabic so that there is greater access to their work in Morocco and other Arab countries. It will also serve to foster intercultural dialogue and highlight the work of young Moroccan translators.

An awareness campaign has been carried out during the lasts weekends in areas of high nightlife in the center of the capital: Plaza del Dos de Mayo, in Malasaña, and Puerta Cerrada, in La Latina.
Monitors in wheel chairs affected by spinal injury because of a traffic accident and volunteers of the Red Cross approach to young persons during their moments of leisure to arouse them for a responsible conduction driving.

The Chair Abertis in Brazil has delivered for the first time the Prize Chair Abertis-USP of Management of Infrastructures of Transport, which recognizes the best works of thesis, tesina and of end of career carried out by university students or of the doctorate in the brazilian universities. The act has been realized in the Universidad de São Paulo.

The Abertis Foundation has started its summer programme of initiatives aimed at raising awareness among young people of the need to drive responsibly in their leisure time.
These actions, which are supported by the councils of Barcelona and Castelldefels, the Red Cross and the Guttmann Institute, are part of the “You only have one life” campaign which the Abertis Foundation has been running in recent years, and which has also been successfully transferred to other countries where the it operates.
