The abertis foundation collaborates with the Pasqual Maragall Foundation as part of its commitment to society, the main objective of which is to help the latter continue with the scientific and technological innovation research it is conducting in order to improve the diagnosis, treatment and cure of Alzheimer’s disease and other related neurodegenerative illnesses.
The organisation’s promoter, Pasqual Maragall, visited Castellet Castle, the abertis foundation headquarters, to learn about recent activities carried out there in the field of research regarding the impact of large infrastructures on the area, the environment, the economy and the population, as well as the abertis foundation’s Road Safety Programme.
The Pasqual Maragall Foundation, founded in 2008, is directed by Dr Jordi Camí and forms part of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), where it is currently based. It also has links with Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).
