From the 1^st to the 3^rd of June, it took place the Academicals Session of Secoco Project “Servicios Ecosistémicos y Acción Colectiva” with the participation of twenty researchers and PhD students of different research centres related to the Cévenne’s Biosphere Reserves (France) and Montseny’s Biosphere Reserve (Spain).

The objective of this academical meeting is to define the conceptual focus and the collective work that is going to be developed in these two Biosphere Reserves in the analysis of the ecosystem services and the collective action.

The first day of the session was placed in the Montseny’s Biosphere Reserve where the Dr. Martí Boada, researcher and professor of ICTA-UAB and the scientific director of the International Centre UNESCO and the Dra. Roser Maneja, researcher and professor of ICTA-UAB and coordinator of the UNESCO Centre, presented the Montseny’s Biosphere Reserve and in addition they organized the guided tour to Santa Fe’s Valley. After the fieldwork, it was organized a technical meeting with the Mrs. Joana Barber, head manager of the Montseny’s Natural Park and president of the Management Council of the Spanish Biosphere Reserves located in “Masia Mariona”, Information Point of Montseny’s Natural Park.

The second day of the session was placed in UNESCO International Centre for the Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves. During this day it was developed an intensive collective work session where was debated the redaction of a scientifically paper and, in addition, the most important concepts and the related methodology with the definition of the ecosystems services and the collective action in the Biosphere Reserves were defined. This project has duration of between two and three years.
