The UNESCOMED Center welcomed for another year the students of the international university master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Environmental, Economic and Social Sustainability (SAES) of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (ICTA-UAB).
On October 28, 2022, the new edition of the SAES master's degree was inaugurated at Castellet Castle, headquarters of the UNESCOMED Center. This is an activity framed in the International University Campus for Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves that has been carried out annually since 2016.
On this occasion, the students of the SAES master, accompanied by Professor Eduard Ariza, coordinator of the master, were received by the director of the Abertis Foundation, Georgina Flamme; and by the scientific and technical coordinators of the UNESCOMED Center, Drs Roser Maneja and Mari Carmen Romera respectively.
In addition to learning first-hand about the research activity of the CTFC and the work of the UNESCOMED Center, the students had the opportunity to be inspired by a research conference on "Resilient landscapes and multi-objective management tools for decision-making in protected areas" by by Dr. Núria Aquilué, researcher at the Precision Forestry Research Group of the CTFC.
