The results of the 2008 Review confirm that abertis has once again retained its position on the international Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and the European DJSI Stoxx.

For the third consecutive year, abertis has achieved an above-average rating in the three dimensions under analysis: economic, environmental and social.The company stands out in the areas of codes of conduct, environmental policies and management systems, and biodiversity.abertis has also achieved considerable improvements in areas such as risk management, customer service management, sponsorship and commitment to the community, and commitment to its stakeholders.The DJSI World and DJSI Stoxx 2000 Reviews come into effect on September 22nd.

For the 2008 review of the DJSI World index, which features the top 10% of companies with the best corporate sustainability criteria in the world, 2,500 companies were invited to take part from which 320 were finally selected, representing 15% of the total capitalization in each of their economic sectors.

In the case of the DJSI Stoxx, the European index that features the top 20% of the companies with the best sustainability performance, 162 companies were selected from the 600 that were initially invited.
