Abertis continues in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World Index for second consecutive year

Abertis has been retained in the selective Dow Jones Sustainability World index for the second year running, which groups together 10% of the companies in the world with the best sustainability criteria and represents 20% of the capitalisation in its sector.

The world index is made up of more than 300 companies from 24 countries, and selects companies committed to carrying out sustainable growth and creating shareholder value, strictly adhering to economic, social and environmental criteria.

As a result the abertis corporation consolidates its presence in the international sustainability indexes, having also being part of the Dow Jones Stoxx Sustainability Index for two consecutive years, the pan-European index that includes 20% of the European companies under sustainability criteria that represents 45% of the capitalisation in its sector.

The changes to each index will be made effective from 19 September onwards.

Above average

abertis obtained an above average score in the three areas analysed for the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index; economic, social and environmental management.

In the economic area, the highest score given to abertis in this world index was for shareholder relations. Environmental information and management of biodiversity obtained the best scores in the environmental area.

In the social area, the corporation scored highly for information on social issues, workplace health and safety and social action.
