Abertis Code of Ethics ranked #1 among IBEX companies

According to a study carried out by Ribas y Asociados law firm and published in the Spanish newspaper Expansión, Abertis is the company that most clearly dictates in its Code of Ethics the boundaries that may not be crossed by any member of the organisation, in addition to precisely defining its corporate obligations and ethical principles.

This represents a yet another recognition of the company’s extensive Corporate Social Responsibility Policy, which is in place in all countries where it operates to further strengthen its commitment to society and promote transparency as its key corporate value.

Of the ethical offences analysed, only the Abertis Code of Ethics covers 100% of them (corruption, technological crimes, intellectual property, taxation and social security, market and consumers, money laundering, workers’ rights, the environment, infringement of privacy, urban planning offences, counterfeiting of payment methods, fraud and criminal insolvency).

Abertis is followed by OHL (86.15%), Sacyr (86.15%), Repsol (80%) and Acciona (77.69%). At the bottom of the ranking stand Abengoa (33.77%), Dia (43.08%), ACS (44.62%), IAG (55.38%) and Gamesa (55.38%), with the average of all the companies being 64.51%.
